A forward-thinking brand for a youth coding nonprofit founded by former Facebook VPs, built to attract donors, drive enrollment, and make coding irresistible to young minds.

At Code for Fun
At Code for Fun, I worked alongside former Facebook VPs to help children learn coding at an early age. As a nonprofit, we faced unique challenges in fundraising and securing donations, but I developed engaging, innovative designs that portrayed the organization as forward-thinking and cutting-edge. By creating compelling content and campaigns, we not only attracted donors but also fostered enthusiasm for coding in young minds. I played a key role in shaping the brand to reflect its mission, helping secure essential funds to expand our reach and impact in underserved communities.

A Consistent Course System
I designed uniform course icons that ensured consistency across the entire catalog of offerings. Visually appealing and cohesive, they aligned with the brand identity and created a professional, polished appearance, making it easier for users to navigate and engage with a diverse range of coding courses while reinforcing the brand's forward-thinking, educational focus.

Nonprofit Campaigns
I developed and executed content strategies for nonprofit fundraising, including impactful Giving Tuesday campaigns crucial to driving donations for our mission. I crafted compelling narratives and engaging visuals that highlighted the transformative impact of coding education, inspiring donors and securing the funds to continue our programs. These campaigns raised awareness and strengthened relationships with existing supporters, ensuring the longevity of the initiative.

Launching the CS League
A year after my initial work, the team reconnected with me to help launch the CS League, a new initiative promoting coding competitions and education. I developed the logo, designed a tier system, and created icons to represent different levels of achievement, plus a color-coded path system to guide participants through learning tracks. The branding remains a core part of the initiative, structuring and engaging participants while reinforcing a visual identity that continues to thrive today.

Reaching Kids and Parents
I designed website and social banners that balanced engaging kids with appealing to parents, colorful and fun enough to capture a younger audience, with clear, persuasive messaging for parents. The banners highlighted the benefits of coding camps and after-school programs with enticing visuals and copy, driving enrollment and visibility for the educational offerings.
25% enrollment growth across youth coding programs.
Donor-ready storytelling, Giving Tuesday and nonprofit campaigns that secured essential funding.
A lasting visual system, the CS League branding still anchors the initiative today.
